If you drive a performance machine, you might be aware that one push of the button on the gas pump can be the difference between make or break in terms of how long your engine is lasting and how much power it’s producing.
We are talking, of course, about the difference between fueling up with regular gasoline and premium grade gasoline that sometimes, is an important difference.
While high-performance applications most definitely require a certain octane level, YouTuber, Rob Ferretti, argues that even when the manufacturers call for a higher grade of gas, it might not be necessary and foregoing it could result in the loss of just a couple of horsepower… not too important in a regular driving situation.
Now, topics like this generally call for more of your own research but Rob does bring up some good points that could save you up to $1000 every single year. That’s not exactly chump change.
Listen to what Rob has to say in the video below and tell us if you have anything to add to this interesting insight on the matter.
